Method of correctly size an industrial chiller



As a technician in industries like plastic&rubber, electroplating, food&beverage,  you must be familiar with chiller and cooling system. What kind of chiller should I use for my production process? What cooling capacity is suitable? These questions must had been put in front of you not only for one time.

Difference between Screw Chiller and Scroll Chiller

Senho industrial chiller units can be divided into many categories in different ways. We will have air-cooled type chiller and water-cooled type chiller if classify according to cooling types. If classify them by different applications, we can get Laser Chillers, HVAC Chillers, etc. Now we are talking about screw chiller and scroll chiller  of Senho Machinery, which are two categories according to different compressor type. Install industrial chiller by yourself? Pay attention to these aspects, you will be rewarded.

Although Senho Chiller provides installation guidance service, if you already have some experiences in chiller operation and installation, you can choose to proceed by yourself to save labor cost and time. But first we need to stop thinking that chiller installation is simple enough, that we just need to connect it to electricity and water, it can just work well by itself. Pay attention to a few more details, the chiller will return you better performance and longer service life. Here are the precautions that you need to know before proceed: 1.     Selection of installation location. For air cooled chillers, we need an open space with good ventilation. Make sure there is no barriers or walls within 1m around it, otherwise there will be trouble for air flow and heat dissipation. Different Types of Evaporators in Industrial Chiller

As one of the most important parts in a chiller, the purpose of evaporator is to transfer the cooling energy from cold refrigerant(gas) to water or other coolant. There are three main types of evaporator for  industrial chillers , they are coil type, shell and tube type and plate type. Here we are comparing these three types of evaporators from aspects of  Heat Transfer Efficiency, Requirement for Water Quality, Convenience of Maintenance  and  Space Occupation. 1.     Heat Transfer Efficiency. Heat transfer efficiency is very important for a heat exchanger. Normally, plate type evaporator has the highest efficiency than others, because its more precise structure.
