Difference between Screw Chiller and Scroll Chiller

Senho industrial chiller units can be divided into many categories in different ways. We will have air-cooled type chiller and water-cooled type chiller if classify according to cooling types. If classify them by different applications, we can get Laser Chillers, HVAC Chillers, etc.

Now we are talking about screw chiller and scroll chiller of Senho Machinery, which are two categories according to different compressor type. The difference between them is as follow:

1. Senho scroll chiller is from 1HP/1Ton to 60HP/60Ton, while minimum screw chiller is 40HP/40Ton. That's because scroll type compressor and screw type compressor are with different cooling capacity range, the max capacity a single scroll compressor has is 30HP, on the other hand, the minimum capacity of screw compressor is 40HP.

2. Standard Senho screw chiller is with no built-in water tank and water pump, while standard Senho scroll chiller is equipped with both tank and pump. Because for scroll chiller, it is easier to integrate necessary parts since it has a smaller size.

3. Senho company equips Siemens PLC and 10-inch touchscreen for screw chillers, while on scroll chillers, we use simple and easy-to-use PID controller.

Different Types of Evaporators in Industrial Chiller

As one of the most important parts in a chiller, the purpose of evaporator is to transfer the cooling energy from cold refrigerant(gas) to water or other coolant. There are three main types of evaporator for  industrial chillers , they are coil type, shell and tube type and plate type. Here we are comparing these three types of evaporators from aspects of  Heat Transfer Efficiency, Requirement for Water Quality, Convenience of Maintenance  and  Space Occupation. 1.     Heat Transfer Efficiency. Heat transfer efficiency is very important for a heat exchanger. Normally, plate type evaporator has the highest efficiency than others, because its more precise structure.
